Lookouts fall behind Generals in Final Game

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Lookouts fell behind early to the Jackson Generals and could not complete the comeback in front of a season-high crowd of 5,283.

Generals starting pitcher Brett Ash was lights out only allowing one run (unearned) in six innings.  The Generals offense gave him plenty of breathing room with two runs in the second and third innings and four in the fourth.  DJ Peterson had the biggest night going 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs.

Down 9-1 the Lookouts were looking to complete another miraculous comeback.  In the bottom of the seventh the team rallied behind two straight walks to lead off the inning and a RBI double by TJ White.

Stuart Turner followed that hit up with a two-run single to make it 9-4.

The team tacked on one more run in the in the bottom of the eighth on another RBI by White.  Ryan Eades took the loss for Chattanooga, but the bullpen combined to only allow one run in 5.1 innings of relief.

Tomorrow the team is off to Mississippi for game one of a five game series.  Jason Wheeler gets the start for the Lookouts at 6:00 pm eastern time.  Tomorrow’s game can be heard on 96.1 the Legend.
