It was a damp and gloomy day outside for most of Chattanooga, but inside AT&T the heat was really on…. The Lookouts opened their newly renovated team store filled with plenty of the teams new merchandise for fans to get their hands on.
Rich Mazingo Chattanooga lookouts General Manager said “I especially love the new alternative jersey we have got, and we have got unbelievable feedback on that in the last week or so. It had just been a tremendous out pouring of support.”
The support continued through the store opening this morning with a steady flow of fans all trying to get their hands on some of the new stuff….. Even with a new look, the team hopes to keep up some old habits… The Lookouts were able to send the old uniforms out on top with a championship and hope to bring the new uniforms in with one.
“We should have a lot of kids that were here last year that are gonna come back this year, because we promoted so many last year so we should have a pretty good nucleus of kids that know Chattanooga, know double a baseball so it should be a good year for us.”
It could be hard to duplicate 2015 when you look at some of the guys that were on the team like Byron Buxton, Migel Sano, and Max Kepler, but the Looksouts have such a history of having great players there will be no shortage of talent on this year’s team.
“It is amazing how many people talk to me who remember seeing Harmon Killabreh as a Lookout who remember seeing Adam Dunn as a Lookout, and it just continues. You know we just continue to fill the pipeline and keep kids coming though Chattanooga.”
The season is right around the corner and your first chance to see this year’s Lookout squad will be on Tuesday, April 5th when the team scrimmages Chatt State.
