Alleged Chattanooga pimp charged with sex trafficking


CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – An alleged assault by a man described as a pimp leads police to so much more.

Kenneth Jones, 34, of Chattanooga is facing one count of trafficking commercial sex, aggravated assault, and two counts of drug charges following an incident at his home on Friday.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by News 12, a Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputy was called to investigate an alleged assault at a residence in the 2300 block of Lake Mist Drive where he encountered a woman outside who appeared to have been injured in some type altercation.

The woman told the deputy that Jones assaulted her and that Jones had also been pimping her out as a prostitute for the past year. She even provided them with information about a ad which she said was operated by Jones. The ad contained pictures of the woman. The woman told police that Jones supplied her with condoms and took money she collected for sex.

According to the woman, Jones became mad when he overheard her talking to another woman about him being a pimp. She told police that Jones grabbed her by the neck and  choked her until she passed out.

While talked to the police, the woman also mentioned that Jones and another person named Nigel were manufacturing fake credit cards and identifications.

After deputies obtained a search warrant, they located a large glass of marijuana, credit card scamming equipment, numerous credit cards with various names, large amounts of condoms, and a handgun.

Hamilton County court records show that Jones has multiple convictions on drug charges as well as a conviction for child abuse and neglect.

His next court date is March 30.
