The reviews for “Deadpool” are in — and they’re glowing. Rotton Tomatoes certifies it as fresh, with an 82% rating, saying it’s fast, funny, and gleefully profane. But don’t take the word of critics, when you can get a review from Betty White. “Hello, i just saw the most anticipated movie of the year, Deadpool. It was glorious. Once in a generation a movie comes along that your whole family will love. I give it 4 golden girls. It’s the best picture of the year. So go see Deadpool this Friday.” By the way, don’t take your kids to this film. It’s rated R.
There’s a lot of scuttlebutt on the Internet about Robert Downey, Junior and whether he’ll be returning for a fourth Iron Man movie in 2020. Downey has said in the past that it’s not happening. He will reportedly be returning to Atlanta soon to shoot the next Avengers film. If Downey doesn’t return, Ty Simpkins, the young actor who helped Iron Man in the third film, may take over the role.
It’s going to cost a little extra to visit Universal Studios in Florida. According to the Orlando Sentinel, a one-day adult ticket to one of Universal’s two Orlando theme parks now costs $105, up $3 from last year. The cost of a park-to-park ticket goes up to $155 from $147. One-day tickets for children ages 3 to 9 are now $100. In all, a family of 4 wishing to visit the Universal theme parks should expect to pay at least $610, and that doesn’t include food and souvenirs.
Taylor Swift is going to party like it’s “1989” at the Grammys. Swift is leading off the awards show Monday with a live performance of a track from her “1989” album. Swift goes into the Grammys with nine nominations, including album of the year for “1989.” Look for other Grammy show performances from Adele, Kendrick Lamar, Chris Stapleton, Rihanna, The Weeknd and the Broadway cast of “Hamilton.”
Don’t tell OK GO that MTV doesn’t really play videos anymore. The group, made famous for a video featuring an incredible treadmill trick, just released a new video shot aboard a plane in zero gravity… and it’s gone viral. The video for “upside Down and Inside out” features eight-periods of weightlessness. The conditions were so challenging to shoot in, at one point, the lead singer blacked out.
