Family Makes GoFundMe Account for Victim’s Children

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Just one week after 37-year-old Monica McMillon lost her life to a senseless drive by shooting, her sister, Amanda Crowder, is asking the community for help.

"Monica was my sister my older sister," said Crowder, on the night her sister passed away, "Very sweet, soft spoken, shy, never should’ve been in this area, I’m just going to be honest."

McMillon left behind three beautiful children who were also in the home and witnessed their mother’s death. Which is why Crowder started a GoFund me account, to help support her niece and nephews.

"I don’t know what more to say, but this can’t keep happening," said Crowder, "I shouldn’t be talking to ya’ll, I should be sleep with my kids getting ready for work in the morning, but yet again we have another killing in this area."

Money isn’t the only thing Crowder is asking for. She’s also asking for any words of encouragement or supportive prayers the community may have to offer her family. She asks for anyone who may see the children around to reach out and spread love, because she says that’s where change starts.
