Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Fire Department kicked off its ninth annual Firefighters Against Hunger food drive Monday.
The food drive kick-off happened from 6am until 6pm Monoday at the Super Bi-Lo on Hixson Pike.
Firefighters and food bankers were on site to accept both food and monetary donations.
After today’s kick off you can drop off your donations at any Chattanooga fire station.
Steven McGraw of the Chattanooga Food Bank said, "We’re collecting food for the many people in need here in the Chattanooga area.  We cover 20 counties and work with 300 other organizations because one out of every six adults and one out of every four children are unsure of their next meal."
You can also donate online here.
