Workers at Erlanger Medical Center partnered with a local jewish synagogue to host a Christmas feast.
They provided meals to patients’ family members at the Baroness Campus and Children’s Hospital.
Officials say the holidays can be a difficult and emotional time.
So, they put on this event to provide comfort through comfort foods.
Hospital representatives also tell us they wanted to relieve some of the food service workers.
"The entire jewish community came here to relieve some of the food service workers and other personnel so they can come in and share their day off with all the families that have to be here taking care of their loved ones at the hospital. This is an unbelievable act of kindness," says CEO Kevin Spiegel.
50 volunteers from the B’nai Zion Synagogue helped out.
Organizers say they would like to make this an annual event.
