Hydrive Energy Water Black Cherry Flavor
Here’s an energy water with just 30 calories, sweetened with sucrose and Sucralose, loaded with niacin, vitamins B6 and B12, pantothenic acid and caffeine – 185 mg per bottle. What I do like is they show on the side the amount of caffeine as compared to other beverages, what I don’t like is the heavy Robotussin-like taste. I guess some people don’t mind trading taste for ‘Extra Power’. Retails for $1.35 for 15.5 fl oz. Total score is 81.
Larabar Renola Cocoa Coconut is a Hit.
Think of this as a granola bar without the bar – all the ingredients are loose inside the package. All the typical granola ingredients with a little bit more cacao flavor – which makes it very delicious. 200 calories, 16 grams of fat, 5 grams of protein and 5 grams of sugars. Gluten free and grain free, this is a great snack for any time. Retails for $1.79 for 1.25 oz. Total Score is 90.
Kabrita Goat Milk Yogurt and Fruit Banana & Natural Vanilla Bean is a Hit.
This yogurt fruit blend is delicious. My question is whether or not 2 year olds are going to like the slightly sour taste from the goat’s milk. The recipe of banana, pear, lemon, cherry and vanilla bean is perfect. I know these pouches are designed for kids… and psychologically most adults steer away from them, but this 100 calorie, 1 1/2 grams of fat snack is a perfect afternoon pick-me-up. Retails for $2.89 for 4 oz. Total Score is 91.
Graeter’s Ice Cream Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Flavor is a Hit.
Graeter’s has long been one of my favorite ice creams. This flavor is exceptional. A rich black raspberry and chocolate pieces recipe that is the perfect combination and surprisingly doesn’t taste overly sweet, just rich and creamy. Now comes the bad news: half a cup is 270 calories, 13 grams of fat and 33 grams of sugars. So enjoy, but just not too much. Graeter’s still is hand made – just 2 gallons of ice cream per batch! Retails for $5.99 for 1 pint. Total Score is 91.
Food Should Taste Good Brown Rice Crackers Peppercorn Blend is the Hit Of The Week.
This might well be the perfect cracker. The right crunch, the right mouth-feel, the right flavor and the right nutrition. Gluten free, made from a recipe of rice flour, quinoa and amaranth, these have the perfect bite. The spices are flavorful, but not overpowering. 10 crackers are about 3 1/2 grams of fat, 2 grams of protein and 4 grams of sugars and contain 13 grams of whole grains. Cracker lovers rejoice!
Retails for $4.39 for 4.25 oz. Total Score is 93.
