Another Year of Riverbend is in the Books

Another year of Riverbend is in the books, and organizers are now reflecting on its 31st year.

There was a security shake up in the beginning, a controversial performer, and some rain.

But all in all, Friends of the Festival seem pleased with how this year turned out.

The Chattanooga Police Department approved a new security plan.

Grammy-Award winning artist, CeeLo Green will not be asked back due to some questionable antics, and, well, there’s nothing we can do about mother nature.

Amy Morrow, with Friends of the Festival, says, "We have no hard numbers at this point, but if you look at how the festival went last year, it was a banner year, everything was perfect. Everything fell into place from music to weather to just the atmosphere, so it would be tough to compare to last year specifically."

Event organizers did say they were really pleased with how the Children’s Village turned out.

They’re now thinking about how to make it bigger and better in the future.
