There is nothing wrong with training an animal to do what it does best. If you use the logic of the first two comments you would have to ban coon hunting, bird hunting, rodeos', fox hunting (which uses both horses and dogs) and if you want something to really get upset about, look at how dogs are treated (Greyhounds) for dog racing. If you can't get angry at them, you have no decency about you.

Imagine that you are locked up, trained to walk and run in an un-natural way until it is first nature to you, fed only what your trainers want to feed you, not allowed to range or breed naturally. Then you are cinched into a faggy little saddle that doesn't sit naturally upon you, an iron bit bites into your mouth. Finally, you are forced to run yourself to death for the entertainment of these little wankers who have more money than brains. How would YOU like it? The prissy little inbreeders who own these animals ruin them. These are gaited animals whose natural instincts and conformation are taken from them.
