To see you get in front of all these people and share your story is amazing. You are a overcomer and a very wonderful person to share your story and help so many people who are living in abuse to know there is help out there.May God continue to bless you in the great work you are doing!

You can overcome

One of my best friends told me about you and your book. I have not read it yet but, will do so asap. I can sympathize with you as my childhood was very abusive and my first marriage was similar. I have managed to stay sane since my first priority was to raise my children to love and deeply care for others. Today they are both wonderful people and parents. I also raised my two step-children who we obtained custody of at the ages 3&5. I am Mom to all of them and have pride in the fact that they still come to me when they need advice. My eight grandchildren are beautiful and so smart which is a bright star that steers me forward every day. No one can ever make up for what you have faced but if your heart is good then you will overcome the memories and change the way you live your life. Thank you again for putting your words down for others to read.

"Tragedy in Tin Can Holler" is one of the most chilling books I have ever read. Rozetta Mowery tells this true story in a direct and compelling way. Its a must read story detailing bizarre and tragic events in the author's life. Mowery's hidden family secrets are told in an uncensored unveiling of murders and mayhem that will leave you stunned by the evil and demonic murder of her mother and the legacy left by her vicious serial killer family matriarch. Rozetta Mowery's story has turned a family tragedy into a triumphant life for herself and the communities she serves. She exemplifies strength, victory and courage with a strong dedication to help others overcome domestic violence. You must read this book. I could not put it down."--Anna Maria Prezio, Ph.D. www.prezio.com

Finally got to watch the video. What a story. I've known Rozetta since the late 1960's but was never told what her story was. I want to say keep up your work. You are doing a service to people you probably will never know about by your book, talks and this video.

Tragedy in Tin Can Holler
Submitted by Rozetta Mowery on May 27, 2008 - 7:47am.
I want to thank all the wonderful staff at WDEF and a special thank you to Tiffany Roy and Joe Legge for my interview on your morning show. I greatly appreciated the opportunity to discuss my book, "Tragegy in Tin Can Holler" and the dangers of domestic violence. Today I am an advocate speaker against domestic violence, a spokesperson for CASA and the Holston United Methodist Home for Children. God bless you all for bringing important issues to the public and also the earlier broadcast about CASA and how important it is for the foster children in Tennessee. The children need a voice.
Respectfully yours,
Rozetta Mowery, Author
