how is monte kiffin gonna come in with MINIMAL hours to work with these kids and teach them to effectively run the "tampa two"......he cant do better than the Chiefs 5th best defense in the nation with possibly the best secondary coach in the nation!!!!!!!

Tennessee already has the smaller faster defenders it needs to effectively run it. The Tampa 2 is not far off from what Chavis ran already. Kiffin brings a lot more knowledge and experience to the table. He knows what it takes to be a pro and the recruits will see that. This team will be fine next year.

simply put, because he is the best at what he does. He made the careers of John Lynch, Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks...the list goes on and on. He was the one that got those guys to play at such a high level, and thats something they will tell you

NEWS FLASH, Kiffin: You didn't "HAVE" to let Chavis go!! And, "move up"??? Yeah, it's going to be hard for you to "move up" on his defense's national ranking...

As far as us Tennessee fans being patient, well.. I sure didn't see Mike Hamilton show Fulmer any patience... hmmm... wasn't it just ONE YEAR ago that he took us to the SEC Championship? So, in my view-I give you one year--the exact amount of patience that Hamilton gave Fulmer...

As far as our "internet chat boards" remaining happy.... people like me on these chat boards buy the tickets to the games, we buy the $4 Cokes at the games, we buy the $45 sweatshirts at the UT shops, we donate our hard-earned money to the University---basically, WE PAY YOUR SALARY! Don't forget that!

ok so you bring up the SEC CHAMP game that we "fell" into... thats not accomplishment... thats called luck... just like LSU's NC year when they had 2 losses... they just "fell" into that one... so dont give us the "1 year speech"... and yeah we will have the best DC in the USA... hands down... no more "bend byt dont break"... YAYYYYY...
