Stolen Vehicle Chase Ends in Deadly Crash

No one knows

First of all my prayers go out to all the families that this happened to involve and the very many friends that Tasha had. I hope that one best friend keeps her promise as well as Tania said. The cops knew why the girs was running and if they would have stopped the chase the girls would have finally gave up. I am Tasha's ex-boyfriend and one of the many friends that she had. She didn't know what to do because she just wanted to make everyone happy. If Tasha would have had time to think it all threw then she wouldnt have made that mistake that she did. IF YOU WANT TO BLAME ANYONE THEN BLAME THE TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN'S SERVICES!!!! THEY SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO THE PARENT'S REQUEST THAT THEY MADE FOR TASHA. SO DON'T BLAME ANYONE ELSE!!!!

Joey

Prayers and condolences. I knew Tasha..

First off my heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the man in the truck. I pray that it is a quick recovery for him. I am so sorry that he has to go through all this pain and hurt. It is so devastating what happened to all of them.

Some of the people on here seem cold. I know that these two teenagers made a grave mistake, but they were just that teenagers. I know that gives them no excuse, but I remember I was around 21 when I finally grew up. Before then I never thought of the consequences of my actions. I am positive the Tasha (that is what we called her when I knew her running around my uncles farm as a little girl) did not wake up that morning, thinking she was going to go on a high speed chase and kill herself and injure someone else. I am not sure what she was thinking.

Like I said I knew her as a sweet little girl. It has been awhile since I have seen her or her parents. I have heard great things about her here and there. I have seen pictures of her and heard of all of her accomplishments. To be honest I was quite shocked to hear of her in a foster home. She has wonderful parents and I am still not sure why she was there.

I know that her parents are greatly grieving, my cousin called her dad and he could not even talk on the phone. It is so easy to say forget them, because they are the ones that decided to run from the police, but again we must remember that they are teenagers. They were probably scared. Please be sensitive to the parents of these children. I do not know the one, but I do know Tasha was immensly loved. No one knows the background behind all of this, but the family.

Tasha, I know you were greatly loved and will be missed by alot of people. Your beauty shines in the pictures above. I am sorry that your life ended this way, you had so many years left. I pray for your parents that they will be able to cope with the loss of you.

I pray for this guy in the hospital. I pray that his recovery is quick.

Sometimes we have to do

Sometimes we have to do things in life that is hard to do ,but nessesary. Doing the right thing for the right reasons. They had to be stopped!!!!! It seems as though the rules now are all for tieing or hands at any control over the wrong doer, isn't that the whole root of all of our societies problems .These two girls were and had been out of control for quite a while now . They were both in custody of the state ---you have to have been in quite a bit of trouble before the state takes control of you. They were given a good home with good morals ,and that wasn't good enough for them. They were set in getting their lives the way they wanted and it was clear that no one was going to control them, even if it meant putting others in danger--innosent people--all because of rebellious children.Maybe if disipline wasn't such an issue today, this problem could have been solved many years ago. Also, no one has even mentioned if they were under the influence of drugs and alcohol--which I know to have been one of the girls root problem!

What info do you not agree

What info do you not agree with? And "yes", I did know personally of the problems. That was the reason for the state's involement in her life!! The point is that being involved in things that are wrong just because you can't take rules or guidence will always end up costing a price! Sometimes , the price is very high and sometimes others have to get hurt too. It's sad that so many can be affected by wrong choices. As for which girl it was that I knew, well, does it really matter now?

WHERE DID YOU GO? YOU HAD SO

WHERE DID YOU GO? YOU HAD SO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT NOT AGREEING. COME ON DON'T YOU HAVE SOME MORE DEFENSE FOR YOUR COUSIN AND THE THINGS THEY DID? YOU KNOW , JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE THAT THE TWO OF THEM WERE AND ARE FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT HAPPENED!!!!! AND YOU KNOW SHE WAS DRIVING!! SO NO ONE WAS TWISTING HER ARM TO BE STOMPING ON THE GAS!!!!!!!! NO ONE TOOK HER AT GUN POINT AND MADE HER STEAL THE CAR, AND IF I'M RIGHT , WHICH I KNOW I AM , THEY WERE IN SOUTH PITTS WHEN THEY WERE FIRST FOUND. ISN'T THAT JUST A FEW MINUTES DOWN THE ROAD FROM WHERE SHE IS FROM? I BELIEVE TERI WAS FROM NORMANDY WHICH IS WAY IN THE OTHER DIRECTION. SO , I HAVE TO WONDER ---WHO WAS LEADING WHO? IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH ANY OF THIS -------JUST LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!!! DON'T GET ME WRONG , I'M NOT JUST BLAMING YOUR COUSIN , I KNOW TERI WAS JUST AS MUCH TO BLAME ALSO, SHE HAD ALOT OF PROBLEMS TOO!! BOTH GIRLS HAD MAJOR CONTROL ISSUES!!!!!

Do you even personally know

Do you even personally know the girls? If so, I would like to know which one. Bc one is my cousin. And I don't agree with all the info you listed above.

Some times tough love is the best love!

These girls knew exactly what they were doing when they stole the jeep! Too bad so many people want to blame the police.......and thank god the gentleman in the truck will survive! Too many people say "the girls were just out having fun" ......look what "just having fun" cost!!! Is it really worth it? Save a child.. and spare a innocent victim....just say no to your child - some times tough love is the best love!

Where do you get off telling

Where do you get off telling parents to say no to their children? The girls parents didn't hand them the keys and say good luck. My cousin was involoved in this horrific accident and at the time, she was in a temporary foster home. These teens made a very big mistake that night, and unfortunately it caused them their lives. I do not blame the officers, I believe they were just doing their job. It seems like to me no one is even thinking about the girls family when they are writing this mess. My cousins parents are torn to pieces over this, so is her sister and the remainder of my family. I pray for all the families who were hurt that night by this tragic accident... and I hope everyone else will do the same. And please... be considerate of others while commenting on this! And if the officers were

And if the officers were told to back off, then thats what they should have done!

I understand that one of the

I understand that one of the girls was your cousin, but the main focus should be on the innocent man whose family is having to sit in a hospital and wait hour by hour for any word of good news. What happened was wrong in so many aspects!

Blame the girls, not the officers

I on first hand seen this jeep going 65 to 70 miles an hour through the streets of south pittsburg in the turn lane. Guess what, at that time the police where not chasing them. Someone called 911 and reported that there was a jeep driving at a high rate of speed without a care in the world. So before you put the blame on these officers for the girls death because of the chase, thank them for not letting these out of control teens kill anyone else.. God bless these police officers.

all of yall have a good point

bu the twi girls that were killed...made the wrong choices that night to steal a jeep and then put peoplelifes at risk over it.well i jyts end my regards to the family members and whoever else that was involed.... i am only a 17 year old i could of been capable of the same thing..

Deadly crash

I was right in front of the man in the white truck who was involved in the crash. We saw the entire thing happen and I must say, I have never seen anything more horrific in my life. so sad things had to end this way. I wish I could get this image out of my mind, of what i saw. I pray for the gentleman who survived, and his family, and I pray for the families of these two young girls.

i am the best friend of one

i am the best friend of one of the girls killed in the accident. this wasnt an accident both girls knew exactly what they were getting themselves into. and they would have gotten in more trouble if this didnt happen. i pray for these girls and their families everyday and i hope they come back with much better lives.

Tasha

Dear Best friend of one! I know of Tasha's friends and there is only one that claims to be her best friend and know what path she was on. I believe you helped put her there. I also know it was only a small twist of fate that you were not in the car with them. I hope you keep your promise to change. I saw your family at the funeral and they looked like they were put through the ringer with the path you have been on. Please don't let them get that same horrible phone call we did. And remember, before you all reply, take another look at that video. Now imagine how easily it could have been someone you knew and loved. May God bless the man injured and his family. May God bless us all.

I knew one of the girls in

I knew one of the girls in the crash, i never thought that she would do any thing like this. The time that I knew her she was a nice sweet person, my prayers go to the family of these individuals. love you Natasha

Stolen Vehicle Chase

This is very tragic, I pray for the families of the two young ladies. I have a young daughter that was involved in a tragic wreck and her friends life was lost in the accident due to a motorist that was in a hurry trying to get to church needless to say he didn't make it to church and my daughters friend didn't get to make it past 16. You are in a situation when you are making the calls on what you need to do in order to make the streets safe for all motorist. I wasn't there on the scene to make my opinion. It is sad it had to end this way but I sure wouldn't have wanted my daughter or my family killed or hurt from this. The police officers have a job when they put on that uniform and take an oath to protect and serve our community. I pray for the officers and their families. You just have to been in their shoes and try to understand the officers done what they seen fit for the situation. No one is the blame, there could have been more lifes lost.

innocent victim

How about praying also for the innocent man who was just trying to make it home to his family? Whose family is having to deal with something out of their control, and see their relative suffering b/c of some unneccessary actions. He's the one who needs the prayers!

children killed in car crash

This is my opinion, and I know everybody has one. There is NO EXCUSE for police chases. The vehicle that is being chased is going to show up somewhere. They will be spotted somewhere by someone. The chances of taking someone's life is not worth it. Then it is considered an "oh well" or "how sad". It is pathetic. NO EXCUSE.

So are we going to feel the

So are we going to feel the same way about killers?? Where should we draw the line??

We are the family of one of

We are the family of one of the girls involved, and we would just like to say that we do not put blame on anyone. It was a very tragic accident, and we are very sorry for all parties involved. We hope everyone just keeps all the families involved in their prayers. That is what is most important, not who is to blame.

car chase

Why in the world would they chase these girls 50 miles with the speeds as they were indangering so many more, now two are dead and maybe three. I don't agree with these high speed chases, there are other ways to do this.

If you were not there to see, DO NOT Comment,I seen the whole thing, and if the officers did not act, then there would have been more Deaths in this one chase. And How would you explain that there were other option to resolve this situation? Rolling roadblocks were attempted, spike strips were deployed, all failed, the police just tried to follow until the lad was tired if running. The girl tried to ram every car that that she encountered, including the police officers.Oh! and by the way in all car chases the police are not in control of the situation, the criminal is, ask any cop!

I will say that from the

I will say that from the look of this video the law enforcement should be proud.

proud

Yes they should be proud. For one thing the police are not given the latitude they need to stop these rediculous people from running. When you are trying to ram other cars including the Police Cars, deadly force should be taken. Shoot them if necessary and maybe three people would not be dead, only the ones being chased.

First of all, before you say

First of all, before you say "shoot them," you need to realize who you are talking about. These are not two grown fugitives who have just escaped from jail, they were two young teens who made a very big mistake, and unfortunately their lives were taken because of this. And 3 people didn't die, only the 2 who were being chased did. So before you put your two-sense in, you need to first figure out the facts. Natasha was my cousin and she did make some choices that night that I wish she hadn't... but we all have to remember, these were teenagers who made the wrong choice that night. We never thought it would come to this. We pray for ALL the families involved, including the man who got hit.

Proud of what??? The loss of

Proud of what??? The loss of lives??? Is a stolen car worth dying for? My prayers are with the families of all involved, but there is no way the law can say this is how they wanted this job to end.

car chase

Why in the world would they chase these girls 50 miles with the speeds as they were indangering so many more, now two are dead and maybe three. I don't agree with these high speed chases, there are other ways to do this.

Remember that if some piece

Remember that if some piece of dirty kills someone you love and the police don't chase them. !!!

Reply to other ways to do this !!!!

If you had been on the road and were in danger because of these two young women then you would be singing a different tune. It is tragic and police feel every thing that happens to the people that they come in contact with. If they did stop chasing them WHEN, not if, they hit another car the police would have been there cleaning that up too and your comment would have been "why did they not stop them ?"

Car chase that lead to death of two

Ii is sad things like this happen. I am sorry for all families involved. I happened to stop at the scene of the wreck since traffic was stopped while lifeforce landed. I could not believe my ears. People were blaming the police for this wreck. These two females were out of control. I am proud we have law enforcement that care enough to try to protect the communities they are from. Ask yourself... if law enforcement had called off the chase and the two teens would have wrecked anyway and killed several people who would you blame then? The police because they had not kept on chasing them? The way I see it, the police can not win. We want to run the law enforcement officers down but who do we call when we need help..... the police. This is a tragic situation and I do pray for all famalies involved but come on lets use some common sense about the situation. I also pray for the police involved... they too are affected by the death of humans also.

I got it, if anyone does not

I got it, if anyone does not want to get pulled over or go to jail - just run. The police should just say "OK they are not stopping, I give up let them go" (eyes rolling). Let's send the message out to everyone, just run and dont stop your vehicle for a car chase and you will get away with anything (keep in mide police do not know why you are running until the end((murder, rape, serial killer, ect...))0 and then find out. If someone runs, it is not because of not wanting to get a ticket...ther is more at stake and an instant felony of evading and reckles endagerment. I know many cases where a police that would not chase resulted in more deaths due to the evader reaching there target.
