This is the very reason why Bush has the passed the Military Commissions Act. Washington is very aware of the pockets of people throughout the country that understand how intrusive and tyrannical the Federal Government. This Federal Government has been growing for the past 60 years. It is very easy to kill a frog in water, when the water is very slowly brought to a boil. Probably the greatest sin that America will ever suffer from is "apathy".

Alaska and big government

We in Alaska are sick and tired of having people that are 4,000 miles away from here and mandating what we do here. A great deal of them never having seen what they are trying to control.
Now a California congressman is trying to get a law passed so we cannot control the wolf population. They are eating the moose which is a huge part of subsistence for many in Alaska. If he has so much time on his hands let him turn his attention to his states problems which are many.
So we would love to give the federal government back their seven million dollars and tell them leave us alone. They have bankrupted the government and we don't want that to happen to us.

I appreciate your article, it was short but fair and seemed objective, and most importantly, not judgemental. Nice to see that some of the media is still reporting the news instead of making, filtering, slanting, or suppressing it.
