Lunch Lady Denise Martin Caught In Survivor China Scandal
Shame Shift

It's really too bad that Denise has to get caught up in all of this. It seems to me the bigger scam is with the media. I understand you are a "for profit" business - but you really go the extra mile to bring the word "scandal" into a person's life. I think it's clear that Denise didn't mean to be intentionally misleading and obviously meant no harm to her community as she still has to live there. You're making it worse for her...you should give her another $50,000. Grow a heart and realize that what you do affects people. She played a great game. Too bad she has to be remembered for this. Shame on the Media. Thanks for being humble, Denise. We know you never knew about the $50,000.

Working Class Hero
Denise didn't intend her story to come across as a 'sob story' - sometimes when were in a situation we're all too familiar with and then try to tell some of it to someone else we leave out important details and they may take it out of context because they don't know the 'whole' story. If the viewers had known about her promotion to janitor and then wanting to go back to lunch lady after Survivor, we would still be kind of bummed out for her because she loved being a lunch lady (but probably wouldn't have been given the $50,000). Denise played a great game - a very interesting contestant that carried a torch for us average working class Americans. As for the $50,000, I certainly don't blame her for wanting to keep it and dodging the question about what she's going to do about it. I don't have any advice to offer, I wouldn't know what to do.
