The Ridges
Submitted by Lynn (not verified) on November 2, 2009 - 8:45am.
Visited The Ridges this past weekend and loved it. The rooms were absolutely beautiful! We visited Lake Chatuge earlier this year and loved it, so this package was perfect with the pontoon boat ride. I definately recommend this package. It's the perfect weekend getaway

Brasstown Valley Resort
Submitted by Lori (not verified) on September 23, 2009 - 8:26am.
I purchased this vacation package from wdef for our 20th wedding anniversary get-away. We had a wonderful time. We had not been to the North Georgia mountains in that area. They were beautiful and the Resort was a hidden treasure located in the Blue Ridge mountains. The facilities were very elegant and the food exquisite. The views were so amazing proving what a wonderful maker we have. We enjoyed the Resort staff, and everyone tried to cater to us as though we were the only guests. (which we were not)If you have an opportunity to visit this establishment, it is well worth it. Thank you wdef for providing opportunities to vacation on your Vacations Near Home website. Lori:)

Smoky MTN River Romp in Vacations Near Home
Submitted by Andrea (not verified) on July 22, 2009 - 9:16am.
My family and I spent our vacation this year in Pigeon Forge, TN. One of the highlights of our trip was Smoky MTN River Romp. We had such an amazing time. This is an attraction that is fun for all ages. There are several places along the river to get out of your tube, swim, walk, or just splash around.
More than the activity being great, Diane and her staff are absolutely wonderful. They make sure that you are prepared and do all they can to make your experience is a good one.
Be sure to bring along a waterproof camera to capture these memories for years to come. We will definitely make this a part our trip on future visits to the Smoky's. Andrea

My Husband and I celebrated our 27th Anniversary at the Dancing Bear Lodge with the certificate that we purchased on Vacations Near Home and we could have not been happier. The lodge and grounds were just perfect. We had dinner at the lodge, the food was wonderful and the staff was delightful. We will definitely return to the Dancing Bear Lodge. This weekend we are headed off the the Twin Valley Ranch for horseback riding in the Smoky's. Looking forward to other cool deals. Lynn
