Amy Katcher is happy to be back in the Tennessee Valley after brief detour in West Virginia. She is a graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio and Television Production and of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Geosciences with an emphasis in Meteorology. Amy began her career in television in one of the coldest places in the contiguous 48 states... Presque Isle, Maine. After one year as Weekend Weather/Weekday Reporter and two years as Chief Weather Anchor/Morning Show Co-Anchor she set her sights on a much warmer climate. She spent two years as the Weekend Meteorologist/Weekday Reporter at a station in Chattanooga and fell in love with the area and the weather! Amy then took a job as Morning Meteorologist at WSAZ-TV in Huntington, West Virginia. While away, her now husband, Mike Dunne proposed. Amy is now back and happier than ever to be in Chattanooga. Amy earned the Seal of Approval from the American Meteorologial Society in 2005 and was named Best Weathercaster in the state of Maine in 2003. You can watch Amy weekends on WDEF News12.
