We've introduced you to double amputee Jordan Thomas in the past.
He started a foundation raising more than $400,000 for kids' prosthetics, and now he's being honored for that hard work.
WDEF News 12's Mandy Odom has his story in a News 12 Update.
Double Tragedy on the McCallie Viaduct

It happened on the McCallie Viaduct.
Witnesses say a Cartersville, Georgia man stepped out in front of traffic.. And couldn't get back to the curb in time.

Police make an arrest in the pedestrian struck case Thursday night in Dalton.
A car hit a woman at Emery Street near McBride.
Fourth Suspect Charged in Timothy Farmer Beating

They picked up 31-year old Daniel Thomas Dixon late last night.
Dixon, who lives on Old Harrison Pike, faces attempted first degree murder and conspiracy to commit first degree murder.
New Majestic Theater Opens in Downtown Chattanooga

In this case, it means the new building is the first LEED certified theatre in the country.
The formal opening was a film-cutting ceremony on the sidewalk at 311 Broad Street.
RiverCity Company invested 7-million dollars in the building which is leased to Carmike theatres.
Other funding came from the Benwood and Lyndhurst Foundations.
It was not built in the traditional way.
