Should the Government force you to take down your Christmas lights long after the season is over? (see story)

DUH!!! If they are hanging and not lit, how in the h**l are they a fire hazard. Who came up with this stupid question anyway.

I don't think anybody leaves their lights up all year round cause they're pretty,truth be told they're too lazy to take them down and hang them every year!

Now don't the government have enough to do without worrying about lights hanging on someones house? to much big brother!!! worry about enforcing the laws already on the books not about making more new ones.....

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS ARE BEAUTIFUL; BUT THEY ARE A FIRE HAZZARD. COMMON SENSE TELLS US THAT . SO PLEASE TAKE THEM DOWN....
WITH THE WATER PROBLEMS THAT WE HAVE SUFFERED , WE AS A COMMUNITUTY SHOULD WAKE UP AND SMELL THE ROSES.

if you owe the state for unemployment, can they take your federal income stimulus refund? And in ref to the christmas lights, i mean if the gov tried to control that they might as will try to control whether we celebrate christmas and how long!!!!!

I do not celebrate Christmas, but I object to not being able to decorate with lights at any season should I choose to. I agree with safety rules, but if I were to hang colored lights for a month in another season or another holiday, can the government call them "Christmas" lights and bann them? I shouldnt think so
