WDEF Standard Contest Rules
1.No purchase necessary to win.

2.You must be 18 years of age to enter, unless otherwise specified.

3.Contests are open to U. S. residents only. Void where prohibited by law.

4.Employees of WDEF, contest sponsors, all organizations providing prizes, their subsidiaries, franchises, agencies, independent contractors and their immediate families or household members are ineligible to participate.  WDEF reserves the right to disqualify any contestant if contest rules are not followed, contestant is found ineligible, or contestant has engaged in fraudulent behavior.

5.An individual may win an ongoing contest only once within a 30 day period unless otherwise stated. One winner per household per contest.

6.By participating, all entrants acknowledge and agree that they have entered the contest of their own free will, that the full rules and details of the contest have been made available to them in writing and they therefore understand and agree that neither WDEF, all organizations providing prizes, their participating sponsors, their agencies, and their immediate families, or their agents, affiliates, sponsors, representatives, or employees have any liability with respect to the contestants’ participation in the contest or winning a prize and are not liable for any damages out of acceptance and use of a prize, including liability for personal injury and/or death. By entering into this promotion participants agree to be bound by these rules and the decision of WDEF, which are binding in all respects.

7.All applicable federal, state, local taxes, insurance, licensing fees, sales tax, registration fees, title fees or other fees and taxes for prizes awarded are the sole responsibility of the winner.

8.All entries become the property of the sponsors and will not be acknowledged or returned.

9.By participating in contest, winners agree to allow WDEF and/or contest sponsors to use the winners name, voice, picture and likeness on television and in any other form of media for promotional purposes without compensation.

10.WDEF is not responsible for any illegible, late, lost, or misdirected entries or for any telecommunications, mail or Internet malfunction.

11.Winners will be required to show a picture ID, sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Liability/Publicity Release, or alternate winners will be chosen.

12.All prizes are non-transferable for other prizes or to other persons and not redeemable for cash. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value.

13.WDEF reserves the right to make judgment on any situations not mentioned explicitly in the official rules. WDEF will be the sole judge in any interpretations and their decision is final.

14. Game and contest participants using the Internet may enter by email one time per day per email address.

15. These rules are broad in nature and all contestants and winners should be aware that WDEF reserves the right to establish contest rules that are specific to a particular contest. In case of conflicting contest rules, the rules of the specific contest shall take precedence.

 OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

1.  No purchase is necessary.

2.  You must be at least eighteen (18) years old and a legal resident of Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina or Tennessee at the time of entry to win.

3. This Contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws.  Void where prohibited by law. By entering, participants agree to these Official Rules.

4.  Only one (1) entry per household.

5.  Contest begins on January 1, 2008 and ends on December 28, 2008.

6.  The geographic scope of this promotion is the states of Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee.  The Sponsors of this Contest are WDEF-TV and these local participating Bojangle’s located at:

PRIZES

 9.   Description of prizes: Two hundred and fifty (250) Daily Prize Winners will receive One (1) 16oz. official WDEF News12 / Bojangle's coffee mug, FREE coffee refills for life at local participating Bojangle's and One (1) Bojangle’s breakfast combo. 

10. All federal, state and other taxes relating to any prize are the sole responsibility of the winners.

11. Prizes are not transferable, substitutable, or exchangeable for cash except that WDEF-TV in its discretion may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.  Any such changes will be announced.  If any of the winners fail to meet any eligibility requirement herein, alternate winners will be chosen by random drawing to be held as soon as reasonably practicable after initial winners are determined to be ineligible.  Alternate winners are subject to all eligibility requirements and restrictions of these Official Rules.

b. To be eligible for the daily drawing, all entries must be received by December 24, 2007 by 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.  Participants who fail to provide the required information will not be notified by WDEF-TV.  

16. Daily Prize Winners will be selected by a random drawing.  Daily Prize Winner’s will be announced by news anchors on WDEF News 12 This Morning weekdays sometime between 5:00AM-8:00AM. 

17.  If WDEF-TV selects your name as a Daily Prize Winner, WDEF-TV will contact you in accordance with the information you supplied to WDEF-TV.  Daily Prize Winners may be verified over the telephone and will be asked to come to WDEF-TV, 3300 Broad Street, Chattanooga, TN 37408, where the Daily Prize Winners must provide WDEF-TV valid identification and execute an affidavit of eligibility.  Identification includes a valid driver’s license or other valid picture ID showing name and address.  Faxes will not be accepted.  The winner may also be required to sign other legal documents, including tax forms and a release supplied by WDEF-TV, which, among other disclaimers, releases WDEF-TV and a range of subsidiaries, directors, agents, agencies, affiliates, franchisees, promoters, officers, directors, employees and related persons from any and all liability related to this Contest and the receipt and use of the prize.  The information contained on the entry form becomes the property of WDEF-TV.  The verified Daily Prize Winners may pick up their prizes at WDEF-TV, 3300 Broad Street, Chattanooga, TN 37408.  If WDEF-TV is unable to speak directly to a winner within five (5) days from initial attempted notification, WDEF-TV in its sole discretion may disqualify that winner and select an alternate winner or remove the prize from the Contest.

18.  WDEF-TV, their affiliates, subsidiaries or agencies will not be responsible for the inability to select and announce Daily Prize Winners on WDEF News 12 This Morning because of postal failure, equipment failure, data storage failure or program preemption. 

MISCELLANEOUS

19. All federal, state and local laws apply.   Sponsors shall be entitled to interpret these rules as needed — including but not limited to rules regarding entries, selection of Daily Prize Winners, deadlines, restrictions on prizes, and eligibility — and all of their decisions are final.  By entering, participants agree to these Official Rules.  WDEF-TV reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend this Contest or any part of this Contest should any non-authorized intervention, network failure, information storage failure, telecommunications failure, malfunction, or other causes beyond its control, corrupt or impair the security, administration, fairness and/or operation of this Contest as determined by WDEF-TV in its sole discretion.  WDEF-TV is not responsible for lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, server, or other connections, or for any failed telephone or computer hardware or software, or for any failed, delayed, misdirected, corrupted, or garbled transmissions or errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electronic, or for entries that for any reason are not received by WDEF-TV by the deadline stated above.  WDEF-TV is also not responsible for any injury or damage to any computer, modem or other electrical device as a result of participation in this Contest or downloading of any software or materials.

23. Any person attempting to defraud or tamper with this Contest in any way will be ineligible for prizes and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

3. Contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws.  Void where prohibited by law.  By entering, participants agree to these Official Rules.
4. Twenty-four (24) Daily Qualifier Prize Winners.
5. Five (5) Grand Prize Titans Ticket Winners. 
6. Only one (1) entry per household.  Contest begins on October 20, 2008 and ends on November 20, 2008.   
 7.  The geographic scope of this promotion is the States of Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia or Alabama. The Sponsors of this Contest are WDEF-TV Inc. and Citadel Broadcasting Inc. d/b/a KZ106 (WSKZ-FM).
8.  Odds of winning the Daily Qualifier Prize will be based on the number of eligible entries correctly identifying the name of the Titans Player of the Day.  Odds of winning the Weekly Grand Prize Titans Tickets will be based on the number of daily qualifiers at the time of the random drawing.

PRIZES

9.  Description of prizes: Daily Qualifier Prize Winners will each receive a Titans tee-shirt and ball cap with an approximate retail value of $40.00.  Grand Prize Titans Ticket Winners each receive two (2) tickets to a Tennessee Titans home game with an approximate retail value of $134.00.
10. All federal, state and other taxes relating to any prize, and any travel, hotel accommodations or other expenses relating to any prize, are the sole responsibility of the winners.

15.  Listen to KZ106 (WSKZ-FM) during “The Roadshow” (the “Radio Show”) at 5:20 p.m. Monday through Thursday between October 20, 2008 and November 20, 2008, provided that the “Radio Show” has not been preempted.  During the “Radio Show”, a “Titans Player of the Day” will be announced on-air.  Then watch WDEF-TV during the “WDEF News 12” (the “Newscast”) at 6:00 p.m. on the same evening, provided that the “Newscast” has not been preempted.  When the “Cue to call” appears during the “Newscast” call (423) 785-1212, be the twelfth (12th) caller, and correctly identify the “Titans Player of the Day”.  Persons identified as the twelfth (12th) caller, and correctly identify the “Titans Player of the Day” receive a Daily Qualifier Prize as stated above.  All Daily Qualifiers are entered into a weekly random drawing for a chance to win a Grand Prize Titans Tickets as described above. Grand Prize Titans Ticket Prize Winners will be announced Thursday evenings on WDEF-TV during the “WDEF News 12” (the “Newscast”) at 6:00 p.m. during the contest period.  Incoming calls will be accepted only thirty (30) minutes after the “Cue to call” is announced.

Blood Donors Are A Cut Above The Rest

The Rules

Beginning Monday, February 23 – Saturday, March 21, 2009, WDEF News 12, 1079 The Duke and Blood Assurance will conduct a contest and give away one Grand Prize of one (1)John Deere Riding Lawnmower  - Model LA105.  The value the prize is: $1,499.00. 

To enter the contest, viewers and listeners can visit any Blood Assurance location and fill out one (1) entry form per day, per location.   The Blood Assurance locations are: 705 East 4^th Street, Chattanooga, TN; 1920 North Pointe Blvd. in Hixson, TN; 1740 Gunbarrel Road in Chattanooga, TN; 1906 Glenn Blvd. in Ft. Payne, AL; 2720 Lafayette Road in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; 100 West Walnut Avenue in Dalton, GA; 2855 Keith Street in Cleveland, TN; 178 Shorter Ave in Rome, GA; inside the Erlanger Hospital Baroness Campus at 975 East Third Street in Chattanooga, TN; 400 DuBois, Suite 9 inside the Cookeville Mall in Cookeville; TN, and 1500 North Jackson Street, Suite 200, Tullahoma, TN. 

WDEF News 12 viewers can qualify by calling the station and being the 12^th caller at the announced time.  WDEF News 12 will have ten (10) qualifiers per week for four (4) weeks for a total of 40 qualifiers.  Each qualifier will receive a t-shirt. 

1079 The Duke listeners can qualify by calling the station at the designated time throughout the four (4) week promotion.  1079 The Duke will qualify a total of 40 listeners for their chance to win the John Deere Riding Lawn mower during the “Big Hairy Question.” 

Blood Assurance will take entries from all visitors to all Blood Assurance locations and Mobile units throughout the four (4) week promotion and randomly draw 40 qualifiers from all entries.  

On Monday, March 23, 2009, Blood Assurance, WDEF News 12 and 1079 The Duke will bring all qualifiers’ entry forms to WDEF News 12 and will draw one winner from all the qualifiers.  The drawing will take place on March 23, 2009 on “WDEF News 12 This Morning” with Rachel and Brian- 5am – 7 am EST.   Representative(s) from 1079 The Duke, WDEF News 12 and/or Blood Assurance will draw the winner from the entries.  The winner will be chosen at random from all qualifiers received.  The odds of winning are based on the number of entries in the Blood Assurance entry boxes and then the qualifiers odds of winning are one of 120 qualifiers. You may only register once per day per location of Blood Assurance or qualify once per day on WDEF News 12 or 1079 The Duke. 

No purchase necessary.  Contestants must be at least 18 years of age.  Employees and family members of Blood Assurance, WDEF News 12, and 1079 The Duke and its affiliated companies as well as employees of other radio stations or television stations in the Chattanooga area are not eligible to win. Blood Assurance will report the total dollar amount of the prize to the IRS and will furnish the winner with a 1099 tax form.  

The winner is solely responsible for the payment of all taxes incurred as a result of the award of this prize.  There will be no substitution for the prize and the prize in non-transferable.  The value of the prize is $1,499.00. The winner is required to sign a release and waiver of liability supplied by Blood Assurance and/or WDEF News 12 and 1079 The Duke.  By entering the contest, the winner acknowledges that Blood Assurance, WDEF News 12 and 1079 The Duke have the right to publicize and broadcast the name, likeness and voice of contest winners, the fact they have won or lost and all matters incidental thereto. 

Failure to observe all contest rules will result in forfeiture of the prize. 

All disputes concerning the “Blood Donors are a Cut Above the Rest” contest shall be resolved by Blood Assurance, WDEF News 12 and 1079 The Duke management whose decisions are final and binding. 

Blood Assurance, WDEF News 12 and 1079 The Duke will not be responsible for incomplete entries, or the legibility of the entry form that may occur during the contest. 

The name of the winner will be made available to the public after Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at the offices of Blood Assurance; or send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Blood Assurance, Attention: Marketing Department, 705 E. 4^th Street, Chattanooga, TN 37403.
