Doctors say the single best way to protect your self from the flu is to get a flu shot every year. And pregnant women can lower their baby's risk of getting the flu in the first six months by getting the vaccine themselves.

But off all the adults that get the shot, pregnant women are least likely to roll up their sleeves. A look at survey data shows one big reason is doctors don't mention it. And this year there are two flus to worry about. Doctors recommend pregnant women get both the seasonal flu shot and the H1N1 vaccine. They say the seasonal flu shot has not been shown to harm either mom or baby. And the H1N1 vaccine is made in the same way.

Pregnant women should not take either nasal flu vaccine, since it has live virus. Stay safe and healthy.
