Patricia Burrell, "I would love for her to just walk in and we could go to girls night out again, but ...she's not the type of person that would just disappear."
Patricia Burrell showed up this morning to help search for Theresa Parker...her friend for the past 22 years. Parker has been missing for more than a week.
Patricia Burrell, "We've been through a lot of good times and bad times. She was--she is--the best friend, the most loyal friend you could have, a great person."
Burrell and a dozen of her family members joined 160 other volunteers in today's search.
Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson says several teams combed through  thick brush in this area along the Walker and Chattooga County lines.
Sheriff Steve Wilson, "This is south of the Parker home and we know according to her cell phone records that the last call that was received was received using these cell phone towers in this area."
Volunteers searched along the roadways and near any bodies of water.
Sheriff Wilson says he's thankful for such a strong turnout.
Wilson, "It just shows that a lot of people care about Theresa and they want to get out here and help."
Theresa's friends are trying to remain positive after a long day of searching....they say it's out of character for her to not call and let someone know that she's okay.
Burrell, "She took care of everybody else, she would never cause all the pain of not knowing, not on purpose."
