Months of hard work at Sequatchie County high school ends with a 14 by 50 foot mobile home being built.
Inside, it's a one bedroom house with a full bath, kitchen-dining room, living room and utility room.
"It's pretty neat just watching it go up step by step, and stuff," says 12th Grader Cody Hudson. "We put the ceiling in, and the hardwood, and just anything else coach asked us to do."
The Coach is Dale Millsaps, a technical education teacher, and also a coach at the high school.
He wanted to give his students a project to work on besides the playhouses and storage buildings they usually constructed.
A local resident donated a trailer frame, and the students started work from there.
Millsaps says it took time to get the job done.
"They sandblasted the frame; they painted the frame. We attached all the seals down and stuff and bolted them down, and then we uh, took our print and our quote estimation and we went before the school board and asked for a construction loan to build a project, and then sell it and get our money back."
The school board gave them a 15-thousand dollar budget.
But they got even more help than that.
Industry experts in the fields of plumbing, electrical, and gas fireplaces donated their time and materials to the project.
"It's pretty interesting, because I got to see how to use my hands, and hopefully will help me out in the future," points out 10th Grader Rebekah Swanger.
Teacher Dale Millsaps is proud of his team of students.
"These guys have got to see from the beginning, from the planning to the finish and the sale, the finance, and they have got to experience this, so when they go out, they will know what to expect."
The next step is to sell it.
The school is accepting sealed bids to try and give the brand new mobile home a new owner.
