12 Weeks to a New You

Well I have some good news and some bad. So far this has been an easy adventure when I go (pretend you didn’t read this Jack). I say when I go, because I am there only twice a week. The rest of the week I am walking in the neighborhood up and down hills. I have lost almost 5 pounds in the last 4 weeks. Good news right? Sorta. I need to loose more during the week. Maybe I can with exercise or with a better diet?
I will now pick up a new day during the week, with Jack or at the Y while my wife teaches her class. Jack wants me to do more cardio and we will continue to hit the weights on Tuesday and Thursday. I am up for that, as I don’t want to quit now. Now that I have done the program for these few weeks, my body is slowing getting into shape and so is my mind. I am actually feeling guilty, that I don’t go enough. This schedule makes the workouts hard though! I do have something to prove.
The diet has been the easiest part…except weekends. My wife and I go out only on the weekends and I am not one to order meat and steam veggies, I want the whole enchilada (wheat version only). It has been hard not to cheat on the weekends and that is probably the reason I am not loosing as fast. I am getting tired of salad too. The other problem I have is with a serving size. I know mice that eat more!
All in all I have enjoyed the workouts, albeit I am sore many days. Working the noon show after working out is tough too, but I am starting to feel better. When I came to Chattanooga, I was at my ideal weight, but working the morning show and not playing basketball everyday, I gained nearly 25 pounds! I will loose the weight and look forward to a healthy life. Trust me, you feel soooooooooo much better!
