Got Gas? [1]

On Thursday, experts warned of a huge increase in gas prices and a possible shortage.
That caused many people to head to the pump, creating havoc.
The question for the upcoming week is; will there be gas, and how much will it cost?
WDEF News 12's Mandy Odom has the answers in our top local story.
Beverly Polen says, "I'm gasing up now because I have to commute. So, I'm gonna try to keep it full."
That's what many Chattanoogans are doing, making sure they have enough gas to get them through the week.
The average price for regular unleaded gas on Sunday was $3.99 a gallon at most stations.
Several were still out of gas and waiting on more.
One clerk told me he expected a delivery Tuesday or Wednesday, but he says each station is different depending on who supplies them.
Tim Rutledge says, "We'll all just struggle and get where we got to go still I guess, till we just get smart and start using bicycles and make them bring the gas down."
Keith Graves from East Ridge questions the reasons for prices going up from the start.
He says, "I think it's a crock. I don't think, we've got plenty of gas, just holding it back so they can raise the prices."
Graves wants the prices to go down.
The Assistant Manager at the Ooltewah Race Way does expect prices to decline.
He says there is no reason to panic.
Assistant Manager Mohammad Hamdan says, "We've been getting steady deliveries, and there will be gas."
With 14 Texas refineries out of commission, one analyst says he expects gas prices to be highest in the Southeast because we get fuel from refineries in the Gulf.
While some stations in the Chattanooga area will not receive a new supply a gas for a couple of days... Others will.
Gas prices here should remain high, but under $4 a gallon.
