Should a judge grant former sheriff Billy Long leniency by giving him less than the 10 year minimum sentence?
Yes, he has no prior criminal record and a good record with the community.
No, it would be the wrong message for other corrupt politicians/law enforcement.
Give him the maximum for violating the public trust.
