Televangelist Juanita Bynum and her husband Thomas Weeks avoided a public divorce by agreeing to settle out of court.
Weeks' attorney released a statement today saying Bynum had signed a 14-page settlement agreement.
The divorce must still be finalized on the grounds that the marriage is "broken beyond repair" in Gwinnett County Superior Court.
A date for the divorce hearing has not been set.
Bynum filed for divorce in September, not long after the couple had a public altercation in a hotel parking lot that landed Weeks in jail on charges that he pushed, choked and beat Bynum.
He ultimately pleaded guilty to assaulting her and is serving three years' probation.
