Testimony began Wednesday morning in the murder trial of two Chattanooga gang members.
Michael Daniels and Timothy Evans are accused of killing Adrian Patton nearly two years ago at the Emma Wheeler Homes. Both men have entered not guilty pleas.
A key witness testified that he was with the two defendants the day Patton's murder was ordered.
Fredrico Brock says he hangs out with rival gang members but does not belong to a gang. He told the jury he heard Mike Daniels order Evans to "handle that". But lawyers for both of the accused argue Brock's memory is not accurate. Brock admits he "gets high" everyday.
Adrian Patton's cousin Darrius Sneed also took the stand. Sneed is already behind bars for a separate shooting. Sneed called Daniels a snitch and insisted he ordered the hit on his cousin.
Prosecutors say Daniels is the ringleader of the Skyline Bloods gang, and that he ordered Evans to shoot Patton, because Patton had fired shots into the home of Daniel's sister.
The jury also heard testimony from an officer who explained gang structure and how a member would suffer the consequences for not following orders.
Crime scene video was graphic and at times and upset members of Patton's family.
Testimony is expected to continue through Friday.
