Neighbors in Bradley county say they were shocked to learn the man teaching their children karate was also a sex offender.

Now he's off the streets, Edsel Griffin was arrested Thursday in Las Vegas. Last August Griffin settled in Cleveland, where he went by the name Ed Lorde. Griffin lived with his wife and 8 year-old step daughter. Last month they withdrew the child from school and took off.
Griffin is wanted in Florida for a probation violation. That's where he was convicted in 1997 of sexual battery against two children. Cleveland Police want Griffin for failing to register to the Tennessee sex offenders list.
Griffin will most likely be extradited to Florida first. He has a court appearance in Las Vegas on Thursday.
