Ready, set, apply. That's the message from Volkswagen today as the German automaker begins the application process for 1,200 production jobs at its new Chattanooga plant.
Team members being sought will assemble automotive parts and operate tools and equipment in a fast-paced, high-tech production environment.
All applications must be submitted on-line through Volkswagen's career center. If you don't have access to a computer, labs at Chattanooga State, Georgia Northwestern Technical College, and Tennessee Career Centers will be available. Some will even be open on Saturday. "We are not usual open on saturday but we're excited and we want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to apply, that's one of volkswagens commitments is to the people in our area is that everybody who wants to apply for this position has the opportunity to do this," says Andrea Witt, Coordinator of the Tennessee Career Center at Chattanooga.
Applications will be accepted for three weeks, and VW says there will be no preference given to people applying today... versus November 15th.
You can find a link to the application website right here.

Was tracking VW jobs on monster, they want someone who speaks german and knows VW systems. Don't think they will be hiring any locals for jobs other than manufacturing.

Just verified the link works. Productions Jobs is one of the fields in the header bar on the VW site. It takes you to a .PDF application download.
