The Soddy Daisy community honored local veterans Saturday.
It was the 3rd annual Meet and Greet, organized by the Vietnam Veterans of America, Soddy Daisy Chapter 942.
They had hotdogs and barbeque, plus they added a baseball game this year.
President Robert Cothran says he never wants people to forget the veterans who fought and stood up for them.
He says, "We want to always keep them in our minds and in our hearts and in our prayers, not only the ones that have been, and older like I am, but the young ones today that's coming up. We don't want to forget those, and we want to honor those in every way that we can."
