UPDATE: Joe Prebul Free On A $2 Millon Bond

I am afraid that this will turn out to be another 'Good ole boy' act in the American justice comedy. The more bucks you steal the more likely you are to get a slap on the wrist. Go away , be a good bot and do it again.

Keep a customer's vehicle nine working days and put three of the same part on and it still doesn't work. Then best of all releasing the vehicle to the customer and the brakes barely work. Amazing when we pulled up to get the vehicle back, two employees come running to see what we need, then they dissapear when told we are there to pick up a vehicle that cannot be repaired by the service department.
The vehicle arrives after being towed home and then find out that it will be Monday before they can "fix" it again.
Charged $340.00 something dollars for hydraulic master cylinder brake parts and labor to have the "master technician" find out that the brake return springs were installed backwards?
Diagnosis of the wrong part, nine days spent and release an unsafe vehicle to my wife and child.

I forgave the service manager and his owner, but Jesus Christ has been given charge by God of judgement of the sins of men, they need ask Jesus to forgive those business sins.

THIS HAS AFFECTED ALOT OF PEOPLE INCLUDING MYSELF. I WILL SAY I GOT ALL THE MONEY OWED TO ME.IT WAS A REAL SHOCK TO BE OFF ON DAY AND NOT HAVE A JOB THE NEXT.

Has anyone thought that the closing of the dealerships may also have been contributed to by oh i don't know a sharp dowturn in consumer demand? or is that to much of a stretch? i know it is very unfortunate for those who have lost there jobs, however i am from australia and the exaqct same thing is happening here and you guessed all around the world especially in the automotive industry! that is why it is called a global recession!

Journalists need to find something else to do other than make a living off of gossip. its so uneducated yet they have a degree for it. they are not compassionate people and dont consider the other people they are hurting when they write this stuff. my prayers are with the prebul family. stay strong. these people are only trying to bring down

I do have to say that there is a couple of Prebul employees that go what they deserved. I bought a Kia Sorento from the dealership in Dalton trading in a 6 month car with 10,000 miles on it. We received a phone call from Prebul telling us that they had to go with another finance company because we already owned one car. It would be a higher interest rate and I told them that I wanted my trade-in back, she informed me that I would have to give them 3000.00 dollars to get it back due to the work that they put into it. so in other words she screwed us. Joe Prebul must have trained this lady himself so when I heard the news I was thinking about karma and the way it would affect her and him. I am sure that there were many that did not deserve what they got but everyone has to know that there are always crooks working for crooks.

There were two sides to the Prebuls. One side they wanted the people they could benifit from to see and the other side the people the Prebuls considered below them saw. Now everyone can see both sides. Yes, the answer to their question "Don't you know who we are?" is answered loud and clearly now.

If you are one of those out there feeling sorry for Mr. Prebul, think of all the employees and their families that now do not have income coming in. He is a selfish and geedy person to dhave done this to his employees. Even if (thats a mighty big IF) he's innocent he could have taken some precautions to help his employees survive. But again Mr. Prebul was thinking only of himself. go figure

I worked for Prebul up until this broke on Monday,we have been hearing of the dealership possibly having some employee's come back to work. I love what I do and have been in this business most of my adult life and to trying to start over again in a new career that pays far less than this job did is very hard for me and my family as I have lost not only money but insurance,401k,vacation time and more! This is a far reaching cancer in this soap opera of the Prebul's and guilty or not guilty the damage is done! All we want to know is if we will be called back to work by whom ever or what ever if ever someone decides what is going to happen? My praise to you the media for the coverage you have provided,if not for you most of us poor slobs wouold not have a clue what is going on !

why why why did joe do this. money money money. i worked for prebul loved the job good place to work. and worked with alot of great people.
mr. joe prebul come and talked to us a week before this and said everything is good and the store will not close . he said he made money on the ford store when it closed.
i dont know what to say but this is bad and joe did not think about every one that worked for him , he must have been thinking about his golf game and his jet and credit cards cause when he was having fun on that money he cut evey ones pay 10% if he done what he should have done with the money we would be open now and over 250 people would not be out of a job

I think it is very sad that just because of an accusation everyone is against Mr.Prebul. How can this be America when already people have said he is guilty without hearing any of the facts.
I hope everyone is aware that at sometime in your life you may find yourself in a situation that leads people to pass fast judgments on you. God forbid you are thought of as guilty and no one even gives you the oppurtunity to say your side.
I know he is a good man and this is simply a family fued. It is sad that regardless of knowing these facts, that his life and character have already been damaged because of the media's one sided attacks on him. I support him and his family one hundred percent and others who know him should come forward and support him too.

I guess if you tell your employees to not honor factory tsb on warranty vehicles,and to have loan officers say"credit unions are federal they do what they want" and come back to talk to your salesman and are told"he don't work here anymore" only to come back 3 weeks later and see him working there then allegedly bilking your family members shouldn't be a surprise!!! Karma is nice indeed...shame I lost 5k trading a car I hated but better off now.

I still have the gifts he gave me and my family from when I was born. I want to remember the times when he was a good family friend and not the person I see today.

Yes, indeed. You get what you give. He had a chance to sell a couple of his dealerships but a couple years ago but he and his dirty accountant screwed another guy over on that deal. You get what you give!

Maybe your good ole buddy Bob will pull in a few favors Joe. After all didn't you support his election with the big bucks? I would say if he could lease land get a Walmart built on a Indian Burial Ground. That has disappered in the court system. Then your problem should be very minor for him. Joe your spending spree is nothing compared to what Bob has done to the people of Tennessee.

Now we're seeing his true colors. The is the same man that on the DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING informed the employees at his Dayton dealership at 3:p.m,after putting locks on all the computers, that they were all terminated permanently and were to leave the property immediately. They could come back and pick up their personal belongings (mechanics tools etc.)the next week. He's a real class act!!

Mr Prebul's airplane dealership is in another court case in Flordia. Below is the details. BTW, he should be removed from the third district seat on the Tennessee Motor Vehicle Commission Board until this is settled.?

A CEO in Chattanooga, another in Texas, several more in California, and the list goes on and on. America's CEO's and very upper management fleecing America and it's own employees. This kind of mismanagement and criminal activity is lot of the reasons why this country has declined in it's overall producivity, morality, honor,and decentness. It turns my stomach to hear of people like this. Living so high on the hog while a lot of their employees are barely making ends meet. I surely hope he serves time in prison, and not just a slap on the wrist like so many get.
