Kenny Hall and Derrick Jones were found by the campus S-R-O this afternoon when Hall and Jones entered the campus to see a current Hixson student.

The lockdown prevented any students from leaving and kept alarmed parents lined up on the street, knowing very little about why they were left waiting outside.

Penny Worley says, "It freaks me out, you know. Of course. My husband had called and said that he had heard something about it being on lockdown. My daughter had called me and asked me just a little bit ago to come get her. But she didn't say anything about being on lockdown, so I figured he must be wrong."

Mary Kirby says feels that this problem is because of the administrators within in the school system.  "If they don't get rid of the principal everybody's going to get hurt. She don't know how to principal a school. They need to get the former principal back in here or someone that knows what they're doing to take control of our school system. Our whole school system has gone to...this (nods)"

Hamilton County Sherrif's Deputies say things like this CAN lead to very bad outcomes. Max Templeton says, "It's a serious problem. The most simple thing can get somebody hurt under these kinds of conditions because it causes panic."

Sheriff's Deputies say that the SRO's quick thinking and the School System's plan of action kept any harmful incidents from happening to students and faculty.
