Tennessee Native Returns After Being Deported from Beijing

Comments Below: 1

James Powderly, a native of Chattanooga, Tennesse, an artist and activist, was detained in Beijing while preparing to debut a new artistic form of protest, the L.A.S.E.R. Stencil. He currently lives in New York City and is one of eight Americans that were detained in China after being sentenced to extrajudicial detention. All eight and are now home.

That's what happens.

I don't agree with the Chinese policies. I smuggled Bibles across the border from Hong Kong in 97 before the China takeover. But that's what you get when you go to another country and protest on their soil. Make sure your cause is worth the risk, like being a pastor of a house church. ChattBiz.com
