Tennessee 911 Operator Curses

A Nashville woman called 9-1-1 after her ex-boyfriend threatened her life.

But instead of getting help, she got an operator who cursed and said he didn't care.Sheila: "I'm scared to even leave out my f***ing house."

911: "OK, ma'am, I updated the call. We'll get somebody there as soon as possible."

Sheila: [Hangs up.]

911: "I really just don't give a s**t what happens to you."

The woman hung up before the comment, so she never heard it.

9-1-1 officials say the person who took the call back in February was a
trainee.

According to a local news station, they fired him a month later, not for the comment, but for flunking his final exam.

They say they hadn't heard the tape until a news station played it for them.

The 9-1-1 director says there is no excuse for the "totally inappropriate
remark."
