Teen Receives Good Samaritan Organs

Lungs from a good Samaritan are helping a New Jersey man breath a little easier.
The lungs were transplanted from a man who was shot and killed trying to break up an argument between a couple at a New Jersey church.
John Bathe has the story.
"Now walking around is breeze, I can do 30 laps with no problem with getting out of breath. ha ha."
JOHN MUSCARELLA, JUST 21 YEARS OLD, HAS A NEW LEASE ON LIFE, HE RECIEVED A DOUBLE LUNG TRANSPLANT AT NEWARK BETH ISRAEL MEDICAL CENTER...LAST MONTH...BUT UNTIL TWO DAYS AGO, SAYS HE DIDN'T KNOW THE EXTRAORDINARY DONOR.
"He was a great guy for doing what he did and I'm sorry he got hurt in the long run."
THE DONOR WAS DENNIS JOHN, SHOT TO DEATH ON NOVEMBER 23RD WHILE BREAKING UP A DOMESTIC DISPUTE INSIDE A CHURCH IN CLIFTON...HIS AUNT CAME TO MEET THE MAN WHO NOW CARRIES PART OF HER NEPHEW.
"Dennis was a big Giants fan (laughter)..."
THE LAUGHTER, BECAUSE MUSCARELLA IS WEARING A JETS JERSEY...
"We'll hope to see you and see you get better and do all the things that maybe Dennis wanted to do, too."
MUSCARELLA SUFFERED CYSTIC FIBROSIS, A CHRONIC LUNG CONDITION, AND DOCTORS SAY HE HAD LESS THAN A 50 PERCENT OF LIVING ANOTHER TWO YEARS WITHOUT A TRANSPLANT.
"I'll probably go back to school, I want to take some trips to places I've never been before, it's a whole new look on life."
JOHN WAS ONE OF TWO PEOPLE KILLED BY AN ESTRANGED HUSBAND WHO TRAVELED CROSS COUNTRY TO SETTLE A SCORE WITH HIS WIFE. SEVERAL OF JOHN'S ORGANS WERE DONATED TO NEW JERSEY RECIPIENTS.
