It now looks like last week's flooding was the last straw for a struggling retailer in East Ridge.
The Sears Essentials store has been closed because of flood damage since last week.
On Monday, Management told employees that they would not re-open.
They told us this afternoon that they took the step because the landlord would not fulfill his obligations under the terms of their lease.
Most of the flood damage was to the building.. Not their merchandise.
