Ford Motor Company posted its worst quarterly loss in its history today.
Ford lost nearly 8.7 billion dollars in the second quarter. Decreased demand for large trucks and SUVs contributed to the losses, but Ford says it has extensive plans to retool two more of its North American plants to accommodate a shift to more fuel-efficient vehicles.
