Police Decide Robbery Story Was Too Good To Be True
Police say the story was just too good to be true.
Lacey Nicole Gossett told officers about an armed robbery over the weekend at the Athens Dollar General Store.
She said the thieves tied her to a merchandize rack with duct tape.
But she was able to dial 9-1-1 using her nose.
However, police have now charged her with orchestrating the theft.
They say she even urinated on herself to convince them she was in fear for her life.
Detectives say it was the elaborate details that made them suspicious.
They have also charged a 17 year old in the robbery... And are looking for a third suspect.
