CSAS Tent Vandalism

Vandals strike out at parents camping outside the Chattanooga School for Arts and Sciences. They awoke early this morning to find some of their tents and other belongings slashed. Parents trying to get into CSAS camp out there overnight. However, last night, a few parents took the night off, and went home. When they got back early the next morning, they discovered some tents stabbed and slashed. Other belongings, like chairs, were also damaged.

Whether they were targeted, or this was just a prank, some parents were, certainly, shaken by last night's vandalism, "It's very disturbing that somebody would be so reckless and just assume that it's a fun game to play. I'm very glad I wasn't here. When I first discovered the damage, I was very frightened, and very upset. I know that other parents are, as well."

Parents plan to take turns keeping a watch over the campsite from now on. They hope that will deter any future vandalism. Police officers have vowed to run extra patrols through the area, as well.
