Overweight Kids Eating

We have another tip to help fight childhood obesity. It looks like it's not just *what* kids eat but *who they eat with* that helps them pack on the pounds.

A look at 65 kids age 9 to 15 found the youngsters ate different amounts depending on whether they were eating with friends. Turns out friends ate more when they were eating together. And overweight kids ate more than their friends. Those who ate with unfamiliar peers ate less. Scientists say these results don't mean parents should keep their kids from hanging out with overweight friends. Instead they encourage parents to supply healthy low calorie foods.

By the way, researchers found it's the same thing for adults... So watch what you eat, especially if you're with friends. Stay safe and healthy.
