Not So Easy To Quit

It might seem like a harmless habit. But smoking is a dangerous addiction that's not so easy to quit.
That's the warning especially for young people. A government study shows most teens who start smoking find it hard to stop even when they want to. 61 percent of high school students who lit up daily tried to quit. Only 12 percent succeeded. Though a small number, it does show teens *can* quit. One key factor in the success rate...getting help from a health care provider. It has been shown to increase quitting among youth by about 80 percent. You can find a smoking cessation program by calling 1-800-quit now.
Of course your best bet, don't start smoking in the first place to stay safe and healthy.
