A local church is taking the bite out of gas prices this Labor Day Weekend.

Starting Saturday morning at 9:30 Mountain View Church will pay one dollar per gallon toward your gas at Steve Ray's Midnite Oil gas station on Lee Highway.

That means your gas will be one dollar cheaper.

There is a limit of 15 gallons per customer.

All the purchase must be made in cash.

Pastor Chris Hill says high gas prices are putting enough stress on families and the holiday weekend should be stress free, "We wanted to do something that was a little bit different. But also something that would minister to people and have some life impact."

The offer lasts until 4000 gallons are sold, so you better come early to get in line.
