Mocs Fighting Through Key Injuries
Comments Below: 0
When you get halfway through the football season, sometimes that's when the injuries start to mount up. Unfortunately for the Mocs, they've lost two key starters in the last two weeks. Running back Bryan Fitzgerald went down with a foot injury against Samford, and he's done for the year. Fitzgearld was the team's leading rusher.
Then last Saturday against Georgia Southern, starting safety J.D.Dothard was lost for the year with a knee injury.
So UTC must finish out the season without two of their best players.
Said head coach Russ Huesman,"We're never going to use it as an excuse. The next guy has to step up. Now, when we don't have a guy to put in a spot, like if it's one of those fluorescent cones we have to put out there, then that's a good excuse. But for right now, if we're putting bodies out there, we've got to coach'em up and play."
