Mocs coach John Shulman could give caffeine a heart attack. So imagine how he must feel replacing all five starters from last year.
"About 3 o'clock in the morning every morning, as I'm pacing around the house.  I go be patient. Patient."
But Shulman didn't have much patience with senior Ty Patterson, since his grades will force him to miss the first half of the season.
"Probably the biggest reason Ty Patterson is up here is because of my wife to tell you the truth because I was wanting to kill Ty. If it takes eight games for him to mature, and grow up, and learn the importance of education, I can deal with that."
One person Shulman is counting on is point guard Keegan Bell, who sat out last season after transferring from Vanderbilt.
Said Shulman,"Everybody is really excited about Keegan. I am too. He's got a lot of pressure on him."
Said Bell, "I think I bring a little bit of experience. I know we're a young team. But I've been to the NCAA tournament when I was at Vanderbilt. I kind of know what it takes to get there."
Said forward Troy Cage,"We've got a great point guard in Keegan Bell. I played with a point guard like him my first year in Vegas, Kevin Crougar. He got us to the Sweet 16."
Even though the Mocs will have a lot of new faces this year, the strategy will remain the same.
Said Shulman,"We're going to have to guard. We're going to have to defend. We're going to have to rebound."
Added guard Ricky Taylor,"He preaches the same thing every year. Defending and rebounding. So everything should just kind of be the same."
