Memorial health Care System’s website, memorial.org, won two Awards of Distinction in the 16th Annual Communicator Awards competition.

The website was awarded in the Websites Visual Appeal and Health Care Services categories. 

The Communicator Awards featured a pool of more than 9,000 entries from all over the world, making it the largest and most prestigious award of its kind. The Award of Distinction is presented for projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement.

Lisa McCluskey, vice president of Marketing and Communications at Memorial, said the award is a tribute to the expertise and dedication of Sonia Moss, Communications and Online media Coordinator.

“Sonia worked hand-in-glove with our creative team, Franklin Street Marketing, to ensure memorial.org was easy to navigate and contained relevant, fresh content that would help people learn of our services while providing information for healthful living,” she said.

Since launching the new site last year, memorial.org has received 4.8 million page views. 

The 16th Annual Communicator Awards is being overseen and sanctioned by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who's Who”of acclaimed media, communications, advertising, creative and marketing firms.

IAVA members include executives from organizations such as Alloy Media + Marketing, Coach, Conde Nast, Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Estee Lauder, Keller Crescent, HBO, Monster.com, MTV, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sotheby's Institute of Art, Tribal DDB, Victoria's Secret, Wired, and Yahoo!
