Lafayette didn't escape the wrath of those storms.
A shopping center was inundated over night.
Brookwood Square on Patton street has five businesses..including a Shop Rite and a Fred's Food Store.
Watermarks on the walls are about three feet high..and much of that seeped into food in both stores.
Crews were there all day trying to clean up.
A pharmacy supervisor from Atlanta says flooding at the Fred's store..requires special attention.
Kirk Boesger\Fred's in Atlanta:
"To see if we can set up a temporary field..we can fill those prescriptions and or another so they can be filled."
The other businesses had minor damage.
No one was hurt and the water receded quickly around noon today...but damage was heavy.
