Kent Williams Still An Independent, Post Tennessee GOP Meeting

The Tennessee Republican Party decided not to give Kent Williams an early Christmas present today.
The GOP executive committee met in Nashville to review party matters, and reinstating the Carter County politician "never came up."
Republican's kicked Williams out of the party after he staged a coup back in January to be elected Speaker of the House. Along with 49 Democrats, Williams voted for himself, instead of Jason Mumpower, the party's nominee.
