The Tennessee Republican Party decided not to give Kent Williams an early Christmas present today.![]()
The GOP executive committee met in Nashville to review party matters, and reinstating the Carter County politician "never came up."
Republican's kicked Williams out of the party after he staged a coup back in January to be elected Speaker of the House. Along with 49 Democrats, Williams voted for himself, instead of Jason Mumpower, the party's nominee.
