IRS Offers Help To Get Economic Stimulus Checks On Super Saturday
The IRS and partner organizations will work overtime this weekend to help people get an economic stimulus check.
Several locations across Tennessee, including three in our region, will offer help to folks who don't normally file a tax return.
Senior, retirees, veterans and others in this group must report at least $3,000 in benefits or income to be eligible for an economic stimulus check. "Those folks I know are having a lot of questions about you know, I haven't filed in years, what is it that I do now to get a return filed. We've tried to make it fairly easy. What they can do is file a 1040-A, which is the middle sized pink form," says Dan Boone, with the IRS.
If you need helping filling out the form, the Eastgate Mall City Center and IRS office in Chattanooga will be staffed tomorrow, along with the Northeast Recreation Center in Cleveland.
