Indictments in Sex, Drugs and Extortion Case Involving a McMinn Doctor

     A grand jury has indicted a local doctor and three other people in a prescription drug case.
     The doctor is 56-year old Rodney Dunham.
     He ran a walk-in clinic on Congress Parkway in Athens.
     Investigators say he was exchanging drugs for sex with 19-year old Laura Cheek.
     They say Cheek, her mother Patricia and neighbor John Davis all extorted drugs from Doctor Dunham by threatening to expose the affair.
     At one point, the girl filed rape charges without identifying her assailant.

     The doctor faces a count of dispensing drugs by fraud.

     The others face extortion, fraud and conspiracy charges.
